Teen Movie Night

Don’t miss our last Teen Movie Night before summer when we watch National Treasure 2:  Book of Secrets on Friday, May 30 at 6:30 p.m. 

Treasure hunter Benjamin Franklin Gates (Nicholas Cage) is back and looking to discover the truth behind the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.  He finds John Wilkes Booth’s diary and is determined to uncover the mystery within the 18 missing pages in this great action adventure.

Free popcorn and soda.  Ages 11-18 only; no parents, please!

Guitar Hero Competition

Don’t miss our next Guitar Hero contest!  Open play will begin at 5 p.m., with the competition starting at 6 p.m. There will be prizes and free pizza – bring your friends!

Registration encouraged, but not required.  Register online, email Jenn, stop in the library, or call (203) 775-6241.  Ages 11-18.

Scrapbooking workshop

Join us on Tuesday, May 27 at 6:30 p.m. for a scrapbooking workshop just for teens!  Scrapbooking master Glenna Castner will show you how and why to preserve your favorite memories while you scrapbook your own pictures onto two 12″ x 12″ pages.  Your finished pages will be ready to go straight into a scrapbook when you get home.

What to bring:  scissors, a ruler, 8-10 real pictures printed on photo paper of the same event (party, holiday, pets, trip, etc.)  If you have any kind of embellishments such as ribbon or buttons that you’d like to bring, feel free, but it’s not necessary.

Register online, at the library, or by calling (203) 775-6241 by May 23.  There will be a $5 materials fee, which must be paid by May 23.

Come check out our new Nintendo Wii!

Be the first to try out The Brookfield Library’s new Nintendo Wii during an open house just for teens!  Drop in anytime between 4-8 p.m. on Monday, May 12 to play one of many Wii Sports games (baseball, bowling, tennis, golf, and more) or Guitar Hero (feel free to bring your own guitar!).

There will be free pizza and snacks.  Bring your friends and challenge them to a game!  Ages 11-18.
