Come check out our new Nintendo Wii!

Be the first to try out The Brookfield Library’s new Nintendo Wii during an open house just for teens!  Drop in anytime between 4-8 p.m. on Monday, May 12 to play one of many Wii Sports games (baseball, bowling, tennis, golf, and more) or Guitar Hero (feel free to bring your own guitar!).

There will be free pizza and snacks.  Bring your friends and challenge them to a game!  Ages 11-18.

Get text message updates!

You can now receive updates from the library via text messaging!  Just send a text to brookfieldlibrary@yahoo.com and let us know that you’d like to sign up.  It’s that easy!

Don’t forget that text messaging rates from your cell phone company may apply.

Recycle those old CDs!

Just in time for Earth Day!  Teens:  get rid of those useless CDs or DVDs that you have lying around! Bring them to The Brookfield Library on Monday, April 21 at 4 p.m. to turn them into something new.  Make CD clocks, postcards, and more.  Sign up for this program online, at the library’s Checkout Desk, or by calling 203-775-6241.  There will be a $3 materials fee for this program.

Photo Mystery Contest!

Beginning April 7, The Brookfield Library will be displaying photos of landmarks at the library and around the town of Brookfield.  Be the one who identifies the most photos and win a Borders gift card!

Here’s how it works:  visit the teen area of the library to see the photos and submit your answers, OR view the pictures on the library’s Flickr site and send your answers by email.  The winner will be chosen on April 30.  Ages 11-18.  Good luck!

Teen Movie Night

Join us this Saturday night, March 29,  at 6:30 p.m. to watch I Am Legend starring Will Smith.

As always, free popcorn and soda - bring your friends!

You can now sign up for library programs online!  Just go to our events calendar (click on the link here or find it from our home page) and click on ‘Register’ below the event you want to sign up for.  It’s that easy!

Make a No-Sew Pillow!

Join us on Wednesday, March 26 at 4 p.m. to make your own t-shirt pillow - perfect for decorating your room or giving as a gift! There will be no fee for this program, but you must bring a t-shirt that will be made into your pillow.
